Israeli attacks have killed more than 200 Palestinians across Gaza over the last three days as the military continues to hit residential buildings as well as people gathered in streets, marketplaces, and shelters.

Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud, reporting from Deir el-Balah, said that although Israel claims it is targeting Hamas fighters, most of the victims are innocent people.

“We are seeing women and children making up the vast majority of casualties,” he said.

It is insane that such actions by Israel are tolerated by democratic countries.

Or even non-democratic countries. Brutal dictatorships usually get a larger international response, even from other dictatorships.

How does Gaza even still have hospitals?

[–] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 9 points 7 months ago (1 children)

They're buildings that used to be hospitals at this point. Most are either completely non-functional or barely functional; it's just that no matter how bad the hospital is damaged the doctors are still there so you'd have better chances going to a hospital than staying at home.

I saw a photo of a father crying over the body of his baby that died of hypothermia. That child didn't even make it to double digit months lived on this Earth. It was born and died in war.

How the fuck are people allowing this to go on anymore...

Terrible to see but not as shocking now as it would have been before.
