I'm familiar with Ultrastar and EXOS drives thunking every few seconds when idle.

I recently purchased my first Toshiba MG09 drive. It's been working well for a few weeks. I didn't notice any rhythmic idle sounds until just now, but there's a much softer and more frequent clicking when idle. Maybe it was always there. Not sure. It does break rhythm from time to time, including when the drive is busy reading.

Is this normal and the equivalent of the other drive heads repositioning every few seconds, or something else?
