I have a few animated shows I need to convert to MKVs.

I could get and re-download the shows myself as MKVs this time around. However I've noticed that some shows will have a file size of 2mb less than the original MP4s, while some have a difference of 60mb less than the original (individual episodes).

Or should I use something like FFmpeg to remux the files to MKVs? (No Re-encoding)

With something like ffmpeg -i file.mp4 -c copy output.mkv

Edit: Tried re-downloading the file again using the same MP4 container, and even that is giving me a smaller size and bitrate. So would it just be better to convert the original files to MKVs using ffmpeg?
