Producer Gale Anne Hurd said having to use "financier friends, not actors" in the scene "ruined it for us."

I haven't seen the cut scene. I'm curious if it already envisioned the technology came to CyberDyne from the time-traveling Terminator.

It simply shows that the final battle in The Terminator was in a factory owned by Cyberdyne Systems and that some people from that company found the computer chip and pocketed for analysis later.

Ok, that means they had that idea at the time the first movie was made. Like Kyle being his friend's father, that was another paradoxical time example.
