Community about running GNU/Linux on phones. Projects like Ubuntu Touch, Plasma Mobile, PostmarketOS, Mobian etc. Either on former Android phones or hardware like the PinePhone.

It's basically a nice USB-hub with HDMI, 2x USB-A, Type-C and Ethernet.

Built-in fan doesn't work, but wasn't the point of buying it.

Bought used for about 30$. In my country many people usually use it for a few time and then sell it.

It's Plasma Mobile.

Something like this, maybe together with a XR headset you can also plug into your phone, would completely replace my need for laptops.

I tried getting to a setup like this a few times, but the PP pro is probably the first phone that makes it semi viable performance and OS wise.

I think even PPP is thermally limited. Fan would help a bit.

I haven't seen recently anyone talking about the software state. Which hardware doesn't work in software yet?

You mean PinePhone Pro? Everything works, but cameras have bad quality. And userspace software is very immature.
