Anime characters who are the object of worship in the church of belly!

  1. Posts must feature "midriff moe". That is, anime characters with visible midriff. That's all.
  2. No nudity. Lewd art is fine, but mark it NSFW.
  3. If posting a more suggestive piece, or one with simply a lot of skin, consider still marking it NSFW.
  4. Include a link to the artist in post body, if you can.
  5. AI Generated content is not allowed.
  6. Positivity only. No shitting on the art, the artists, or the fans of the art/artist.
  7. Finally, all rules of the parent instance still apply, of course.

SauceNao can be used to effectively reverse search the creator of a piece, if you do not know it.

You may also leave the post body blank or mention @saucechan@ani.social, in which case the bot will attempt to find and provide the source in a comment.

I've seen this article style before and the nose confuses me in that it's a white triangle. Is it a stylistic thing or is she not supposed to have a nose? Otherwise it's very cute, and good work.

That is shading implying its precense. The "white triangle" is the "lit" skin on the nose. But any countours (besides the very tip) are omitted.

Noses are difficult to draw in the anime style due to them being a pretty detailed part of the face.

As the mouth and eyes are "simplified" in comparison to the real thing, noses tend to look weird the second you add definite lines.

Different artists solve it differently, often by drawing something that merely suggests its precence.

Interesting. I guess I've just never been atto pick up on that particular suggestion.

Thanks internet stranger!
