I thought about it but my power almost never goes out. And if it does it's barely a day and we try to make it fun with candles and a fire. I have wood burning stove and our power only goes out in the winter.
As for using the power at night my electrical utility provides me with 1 to 1 net metering. That's a better ratio than a battery. I just don't know what problem the battery will solve.
