The Amiga received an impressive fan-made Star Wars game called Star Dust Wars - The Director's Cut. This game is a tribute to the legendary 1987-88 arcade game and features iconic Star Wars ships battling through locations from the original trilogy, recreated with "modern creative touches".

Here are some key points:

  • Game Name: Star Dust Wars - The Director's Cut
  • Developer: Electric Black Sheep
  • Features: 2D sprites, FMV-style backgrounds, custom animations
  • Playability: Recommended for Amiga 1200 (HDD) + FastRam and Accelerator for optimal performance.

What are your favourite memories of the original Star Wars arcade game?

Everything looked so good until I saw the player ship movement and was so disappointed! ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ The ship bounces around the screen at twitchy speeds, completely ruining the look and feel of the game.

Im going to guess the person who took the video has their mouse cranked up to ludicrous speed and the ship is directly tied to mouse movements.

Nah, it looks like pretty typical arcade style controls.

If it's mimicking star wars rebel assault, I imagine mouse control is the most likely.
