Overview:

Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

Is it so much to ask that we get a sick EV hot hatch in the US? Killing me here.

Right?

An electric HH would be amazing.

I think the best (only?) example we have right now is the Ioniq 5 (the spicy N version looks rad, but iirc it’s something like 70k? At which point I’d just buy a poverty spec cayman when they come out with the next gen electric ones)

The weird thing is: the Ioniq 5 has the looks and proportions of a hot hatch, but it’s actually a full SUV. For my European eyes, it’s gigantic and has nothing to do with the hot hatch impression it makes in pictures.

Yeah, the Rivian 3 looks promising but between it not coming until 2027 (last time I saw) and the few decisions Rivian makes (no Android Auto/Carplay and whatever those weird scroll wheels are in the steering wheel) I don't know that I'd go for it off the rip.

Something that would sell well in the US, so of course it won’t be offered here.
