I have an old 8 bay Synology Nas that I have been happy with, but it is over 10 years old and time to replace it. There is no doubt I am a fellow data hoarder now. Lol

I have about 200TB of movies and TV shows in 4k for myself that I transcode down to 1080p with Plex on my primary gaming PC for streaming to friends and family. Sometime 6-10 concurrent streams all transcoding at the same time.

I have about 16 drives all of various sizes up to 24TB each spanned across multiple PC's looking to be able to scale to 1PB or greater as time goes on.

I have been looking at a 24bay qnap that has an extra slot for a video card so that I don't have to use my gaming PC. I am sure I will be going the rackmount option, but wanted to get everyone's advice. Especially around the transcoding needs.

I appreciate any recommendations you can provide.
