Is there a way to watch Dolby Vision content properly without having to move files to play from TV? (lemmy.fmhy.ml)

My set up has been MPC and MadVR for HDR content, but dolby vision when I tried long ago didn't work properly.

Has any players come out since then for dolby vision support?

Does it pass actual Dolby vision signal or is it converting it to SDR? When I tried mpv long time ago it didn't send HDR signal and just converted it to SDR.

last I checked it converts the dolby vision into normal HDR. this should still be fine. I don't think there is any quality degradation
