So many questions:

  • Is the soup hot or cold, in the hole?
  • What type of soup is it?
  • Is it gluten free?
  • Is it vegetarian or vegan?
  • Did they even taste the soup to know that it is, in fact, soup?

It is the lack of these type of details that make me suspect that this is not real.

If there's a hole, there's soup in it. That's just based on Clangers rules.

Only $3 to satisfy your curiosity!

[–] thedirtyknapkin@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

shit, the number's right there. could ask.

[–] Donkter@lemmy.world 17 points 9 months ago

For 3$ you can find out

[–] MissJinx@lemmy.world 16 points 9 months ago (1 children)

The vegan soup comes from a free range hole

[–] Theprogressivist@lemmy.world 9 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Tastier than lab grown hole.

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 4 points 9 months ago

Ah yes the soup hole, a good friend of any STALKERS who are brave enough to traverse into Pripyat for it. Though it is a rather delicious source of food though rather hard to describe. Also according to some more... experienced STALKERS namely those associated with Freedom it tastes rather close to Controller blood which is rather disconcerting. Sidorovich will pay handsomely for you not telling the Rookies this fact, he is making quite the killing selling them the soup.

I wonder if it changes daily so on Friday it's your choice of clam chowder or potato.

Is this viral marketing for a remake of 'the stuff'

[–] pastermil@sh.itjust.works 19 points 9 months ago (1 children)

This looks to be the work of Alan Wagner, an absurdist/surrealist artist. I've never seen this exact piece before, but this is his style.

[–] the_crotch@sh.itjust.works 1 points 9 months ago

He mainly operates on San Fran, and this is a Connecticut area code. I suspect a copycat.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 8 points 9 months ago (1 children)

If there was ever a movie remake I would totally look forward to watching, that would be it.

Assuming it wasn't a "serious" remake.

[–] Atlusb@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago (1 children)

If it was serious it wouldn't really be 'the stuff'

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

I know, but you know how these remakes can be.

There's a sequence in West of Loathing about a mine full of soup. It's funny.

Looks like it's time for Soup Containment Procedures!

SCP-50091 is boyardee class anomaly located in [data expunged]. The object is a 300cm hole in the ground of [data expunged] and contains a seeming endless amount of [redacted] soup.

Its a big spoon designed for serving soup.

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 9 months ago

But that’s not important right now!
