Blowback season four is so good. I keep having to pace myself and not just session the entire thing. Should be taught in schools and the second best thing on the internet after yellow Parenti

i'm up to around ep 3. it's great but it's heart breaking... 1500 secular schools burned down in less than year by US backed forces. and they brag about it. so far, it really annihilates any narrative that the "western free press" has ever been anything but a bunch of shitty stenographers for the US government, eagerly pushing out whatever bullshit they're fed and anyone who does any actual reporting is sidelined to maybe being on a panel at 3am.

definitely appreciate all the context of the "Safari Club" of western/anglo-allied reactionary governments serving as cutouts for funding/arming terrorists to destabilize areas along the border of our geopolitical rivals and sidestep congressional oversight. the very existence of the Durand Line even. what a fucking joke it all is, and we never learn any of it. just "afghanistan is backward and does terrorisms we gotta stop it" with zero context for the first 20 years of this 50 year war, let alone the legacy of anglosphere meddling.

also, fuck jimmy carter.

I love Blowback, but I saw Brendan James on Libby Watson's twitch channel last night and kinda wish I didn't? I dont use the term "stuck up" very often but he was giving that vibe.
