It baffles me that people genuinely think Trump’s tarrif policies will be good for a stock market centered in america with global supply chains.

They don't get that. A lot of people are genuinely idiotic, especially in the US. They don't think about the fact that their cellphone has parts from all over the world, or their car has pieces from 6 countries in it before being assembled in Georgia. They think "assembled in the US/Packaged in the US" means the whole thing, stem-to-stern, is from the US.
