This is a Dengist community in favor of Bashar al-Assad with no information that can lead to the arrest of Hillary Clinton, our fellow liberal and queen. This community is not ironic. We are Marxists-Leninists.

Hey comrades, in a discussion in another thread I've realized that I'm still extremely under-informed about all the socialist movements that exist across the countries of Africa. For instance, a comrade brought up Angola and my first thought was that they're led by a socialist in-name-only party, but like I said I'm extremely under-informed so I think there's a good chance that thought has to be a kneejerk reaction due to some propganda I've consumed unknowingly in the past.

So, I'm here to ask for any of your favorite reading about this! Essays, articles, even a well sourced yt vid (hopefully I don't just get vids tho lol), whatever you think has been a good resource in studying this area! Again, specifically want stuff focusing from ~2000 onward, I of course still need to read more about the 20th century (and even other earlier de-colonial struggles!), but I'm much more confident that at least have a good grasp of the broad strokes of 20th century movements.

This comment section has some good stuff. In terms of books I know I’d say ‘building the communist party of Kenya’ and ‘Everyday Politics in the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.’ I don’t know too much either, and hope to see some more comments here.

Yeah, I'm tryna look more into the same topic, it's a shame that this topic is obscure, and not reported on by Western media. I'm especially tryna look into what Namibia has with its "Socialism with Namibian Characteristics" employed by the ruling party SWAPO, so any resources on that topic would be really appreciated.

You can try SWAPO's website: www.swapoparty.org.na/index.php/document-publications, might be slightly outdated but it does include the 2018 changes to their party constitution by adding "socialism with Namibian characteristics".

This is from 1999, but looks pretty good. And here's a book out just this April with essays by Arrighi and Saul.
