Bottom line it's the Machismo mentally. As long as you project you're a strongman, you will get the Machismo vote Every. Single. Time.

This article says LatinX is only hated by bigots. This clearly ignores Latine the actual gender neutral term, the one in actual use in Latin America. LatinX literally just feels like pandering by Americans who maybe know one “No Sabo kid” and want to look woke.

Well, yeah, why don't these candidates use Latine instead? That is certainly one way to deal with the study's implication.
