Naw, see the industrial revolution was an inevitable consequence of the development of agriculture.

The real line should be The Agricultural Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.

Agriculture was a trap. You can grow more food so there’s more people. So you must grow more food to feed more people. Who make even more people who need food.
