Honestly, I got nothing. In German, we would say Besteck or Tafelsliber.

Silverware (Tafelsilber : banquet/table silver) exists.

Besteck used to mean sheath, bestecken could be translated as to decorate with, stecken is to put into.

It's not that food weapon is close to the German word but it's the description this German guy came up with.

I could see the Swedish being translated as stabbers

beskriva: to describe

sticka: to stab
bestick: stab-related noun?
