Not everything needs to be connected to the cloud. I wish manufacturers would stop. It’s fine to have LAN access for things like cell phone notifications, but it should never be accessible via internet.

What is the intended purpose of having a speaker capable of playing anything more complex than a simple beep? Is it there to announce things like "Low Battery"?
To boost 'features' to sell this crap.
To play "Ride of the Valkyries" by Richard Wagner while cleaning, obviously.
