Wow I don’t know how I missed this but one of our old backup QB’s (Taisun Phommachanh) is playing for UMass now. I wish him success this season!
I'm not enough of a CFB sicko to watch this game over the others, but I did not expect UMass to draw first blood...
Turns out I am enough of a sicko to watch this game. Just flipped over and the first play was a pick six for UMass to go up 3 scores over NMSU. Absolutely crazy.
Edit: A minute later followed up by a successful fake punt by NMSU to keep the chance of a comeback alive. This is what college football is about!

I was mostly just floored by the legit talent Umass seems to have at punter
