I have an HDD that contains around 1.5 million pictures most of them are large photos ~4MB each

Almost all my pictures are jpg

I'm looking for a photo management software to allow me to have a database and categorize them using tags etc...

I tried digikam but it is very slow, it doesn't even load all pictures from a directory. Even if that directory contains a couple thousand of pictures.

I tried with sqlite and MySQL too (installed locally).

My files are on an HDD connected through USB 3.0 Browing my files through windows is fine.
