I have a SuperMicro 6028U X10DRU-I+ 2U server and would LOVE to retrofit it to have modern CPU/Mobo like an Epyc 4004 series chip in there and maybe if possible lower the fan noise while I am at it. Is this possible? I would rather not chuck this 12-hotswap-bay server but it is rather loud and power hungry these days. Plus, it blows at transcoding even with Xeon 2690v4 chips in it.
