I’ve started scanning family documents using an Epson V550 scanner, saving them in unprocessed TIFF format. After that, I edit them in GIMP and create PDF files. The issue is that TIFF files, even with ZIP or LZW compression, take up quite a bit of space. I considered using PNG format, but the size difference is minimal. Do you have any suggestions? Maybe it’s worth saving these documents in high-quality JPG instead?
