I got my new laptop all configured how I want, so I'm making a backup in macrium so I can easily revert to this state.
Problem is, I didn't realize the laptop came with the C drive encrypted in bitlocker. Totally not what I wanted! I plan on decrypting it but I'd like to have a working image backup to fall back on before screwing around any further! My fear is that if I try to restore from the Macrium image it will ask for a bitlocker recovery key that I don't have. I have no MS account linked to the laptop (no thank you), so getting the recovery key that way won't happen. When I check in powershell it says there is no key and the encryption is basically permanently unlocked. So I'm 99% sure there won't be any problems restoring from my macrium image backup, but I am paranoid want to be absolutely sure before proceeding! LOL :(
