Apologies in advance, because I'm pretty uneducated on the technicalities of the cloud backup market. I've got about 3.5TB of data with iDrive, and I'm looking to migrate to Backblaze, but I'm a bit confused about the process.

The last time I migrated was years ago, and back then, I basically had to pay for a new external drive that the service I was leaving put my data on, and sent to me. However, I've gotten the impression that nowadays, you don't necessarily have to do that...? I've seen info about iDrive e2 where it can be migrated electronically without having to mess around with irl media, but I confess I don't truly understand what e2 is, or in what way it differs to the standard iDrive setup I have, so my knowledge is incomplete.

I just can't seem to find solid answers for what the current process actually involves, which seems ridiculous, but it's probably just something I've missed. Can anyone shed light on this?
