I have windows installed in c in a single partition on my 1tb ssd nvme. It is also bitlocked.

Planning to upgrade to a 2tb.

Was thinking of moving all my large files from C to an external hdd to reduce the usage to around 100gb. So it will be faster when decrypting the bitlocker encrypted drive. Then I will image the whole C and restore it on the 2tb drive. Then reverse the process.

Is this a good plan or should i just decrypt it with all the data still present.
