I have OWC Thunderbay 8 and using Chronosync to make backups for 4x HDD just like RAID 0. But there are quite a lot of empty space in 2x HDD which can be better if I had RAID 5 or 6.

But here's my problem:

  1. OWC's softRAID is well known for being terrible by my industry and they NEVER suggested. Told me to avoid it due to its instability.
  2. I have no idea where to find RAID 5 or 6 software for Mac.

I really need RAID 6 but I dont see any options other than buying a whole new enclosure.

Any suggestions?
