Not everyone in Europe has forgotten what it was like to live in a police state. And if my fellow Americans could fully comprehend it, it wouldn't be happening.

I believe universities in the US often have their own "campus police" with normal police not being allowed to enter the premises without permission. This is really tricky as it could theoretically be used as a buffer to protect students from the police violence of normal police but this raises the question of how this campus police is governed and if it is maybe not an improvement at all. This post pushes me to think its the latter.

speak for yourself, sweden is continously telling private schools here to fuck off with the uniforms, as clothes are covered under the freedom to self expression.
