I need portable external HDDs for the convenience and affordability. It doesn't matter how big they physically are.
I've read and seen recommendations that seagate drive are good cuz they are "shuckable", which in my understanding means that if something goes wrong and the drive can't be read due to some USB connection issues, you can remove the external shell and (follow a difference process to access your files) so I'd like to have that option.
I've also read Toshiba drives aren't great and the wiki says they have terrible customer service.
So I guess I'm down to WD and Seagate. Can you recommend/share an Amazon link about what would be suitable for a 2 TB "decent" CMR external for around $70-80 if it exists?
I do delete and transfer files relatively often so CMR is probably better, in my understanding.
