Have you SEEN real life in the past 10 years? We had people trying to cure a disease by getting a self made vaccone that was just injecting bleach, rather than getting the real vaccine.
We had rich people complain that average people were ALSO making money by manipulating the AMC and Gamestop stock prices. To the point that Robinhood illegally refused to trade stocks.
Planking was a thing.
And just a few nights ago a former president engaged in a debate with the current vice president. Among other absurd things said, he also said that Harris "put out" because she "chooses to be black", and he's ok with her being black because "that's her choice".
So yeah, absurd headlines, and people doing dumb things don't come off as far fetched like they would before. Dominoes is patching potholes in cities, because cities refuse.
We live in a world where common sense doesn't apply.
Ya know what, fair point. Any one of those would make marvelous Onion post if they weren't real things that happened!
