Hey Everyone,

My family has accumulated a large amount of family photos and videos from trips and other important dates and events. We need to get a backup drive as currently it is only on an actively used computer (I am the most paranoid about this out of my family). My questions is, would it be better to get an SSD or and HDD for long term storage of these things? My concern about an HDD is the durability if dropped, but my concern with an ssd is the longevity of flash memory if not powered on so frequently.

Any help/advice is appreciated!
