According to sources, the new post will be in the rank of Secretary to the Government of India. They said the outgoing ED chief, Sanjay Kumar Mishra, could be appointed as the first CIO.

Modi-Shah are hell-bent on retaining Sanjay Mishra. Since SC won't let him continue as director of ED, they plan to bring him in as the boss of the director of ED.

If only they used their cunning for India's benefit.
