For those wondering this is from a sub about flags from people's dreams.

And yes this is incredibly badass, I want to see a story or something set in this universe

I would immediately assume this was a Hindutva flag if I saw it IRL

How does this sub have 46.2K members? It seems incredibly niche.

tbh i think most of it is just people posting random flag designs they made up

Real talk. I haven't seen much about Gnosticism until the past few years when it started popping up exponentially.

I blame Genshin Impact for the phenomena.

Kids these days learning about Gnosticism from Genshin Impact, the Millennials gained their Gnosis playing the Persona games.

I'll have you know I received both gnosticism and sudden gender anxiety from the Matrix films

Idk if Philip Pullman is cancelled for being a lib and sort of defending a much worse (transphobic) writer, but I think a few of us first ran into it in a semiserious way reading him

His killing god content at least was very based

(I'm personally ok with having problematic faves on his level and frankly much worse but I see some potential for fuzz on this issue given that he's still alive and actively posting; don't know what the consensus here is as I'm pretty new)

I first heard it from a highly underrated fantasy series called The Prince of Nothing where gnostic sorcerers are like walking weapons of mass destruction that level cities with geometric math magic. Those books were so metal.

HERESY!! It is no other than the work of His Holiness St. Bhagwan Shree Matt Christman (PBUH) in spreading the divine Truth in our species' war against the Demiurge

large-adult-son

(Wait Genshin Impact has a Gnosticism component? I thought it was only good for sexy twinks...)

Persona 5 can also be partly blamed

[–] Tachanka@hexbear.net 19 points 2 years ago

confusingly, gnosticism is not the opposite of agnosticism

I'm deeply confused. why is the Hindu symbol on my screen?

[–] bizzle@midwest.social 11 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That's a sick flag, what group is it approximating

[–] axont@hexbear.net 9 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It vaguely looks like the Boko Haram flag mixed with the Texas "Come and Take It" thing

It's a flag from someone's dream though

[–] LeZero@hexbear.net 3 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

The black on white design reminds me of the Taliban flag as well

[–] blight@hexbear.net 3 points 2 years ago

how is that such a thriving sub lmfao
