It has always put our privacy at risk. Some people are fighting against it by not using big tech social media, using github alternatives and running AI locally. It's just that most people are unaware or do not care.

A heck of a lot of people are also trapped by work, family, and just not having time to keep up with all the changes.

(in Usa privacy has gone to hell long ago).
