Just got back from kiddo's coding class. Glad to see Florida is hanging in there. And dear God, Swamp Sunny Side in August... WHY? And if you are, why waste it on one of very few opponents that can absolutely handle it? I assume I can blame ESPN.

The mercy rule was invoked in the Auburn vs. Alabama A&M game. Last two quarters will be 10 minutes each. Tigers were up 52-3 at the half.
I didn't even know college football had a mercy rule...
I wonder what the exact rule is, Vols were up 48-0 at half and I don't think we employed any such rule
Edit: it seems that both coaches have to agree to it, but it can happen at any point, see below:
- The National Collegiate Athletic Association's mercy rule provides, "Any time during the game, the playing time of any remaining period or periods and the intermission between halves may be shortened by mutual agreement of the opposing head coaches and the referee." (NCAA Football Rule 3-2-2-a)

Go Irish! Big road win though Freeman walks well for having such big balls.
It seems like the Iowa Hawkeyes are still struggling on the offensive line. This will make it difficult for the offense to be productive yet again...
I haven't caught any of that game, just seeing the box score, but I wonder if things are just a little off with Kirk Ferentz out. (Not like bringing him back next week is going to make the offense any better, though...)
