I got way too fixated on a specific connection for green that ended up being wrong.

Green spoilers

I first tried row, fence, box, and cream, thinking it was something to do with fighting (row as in rhymes with how, not with toe). It gave me "1 away" so I tried other combinations including those and storm. Never considered "dive" to get lucky and stumble across the correct answer.
