The political press has doubled down on horse race coverage of the election, overlooking the threat Trump poses to democracy.

Because it's owned by the same billionaires who are funding his campaign, maybe?

Once he cannot be in power again, the shit will come down on him. They are afraid of his retaliation—and fear of retaliation makes bad journalism

I'm failing to understand this article. Is the secret that Trump uses social media?

The mainstream press just repeats whatever the Democrats sling at Trump. If they say Project 2025 the media says project 2025. If they talk about couches the media talks about couches.

FOR TRUMP TO escape much scrutiny from the press for the third time can be attributed in part to the deep historical, technological, and financial trends that have swept through the news industry.

Journalists are doing the same thing by failing to mention capitalisms role in the rise of Trump.

The problem is that journalists would engage in friendly fire against Democrats if they started addressing the root cause.

Mention Miriam Adelson and someone says AIPAC.

Mention Jeffrey Epstein and someone says Bill Clinton
