If she wants to brainwash and destroy the mind of children, she should have some of her own and leave ours the hell alone,” he said

These quotes aren’t random gaffes. Vance has some bizarre, Puritanical views on women. Barefoot and pregnant kinds of views.

Trump is a clown in decline with no future. Vance is the would-be leader of the Gilead envisioned in Project 2025. Under his eye.

[–] queermunist@lemmy.ml 22 points 11 months ago

It's a fetish. No one can convince me otherwise.

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 18 points 11 months ago

And he's the one insisting on not leaving the rest of us the hell alone. Projection, as usual.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 11 points 11 months ago

It's also more projection. They are so focused on indoctrinating children that they believe Democrats must be doing it as well. Everyone must be doing it.

[–] psivchaz@reddthat.com 6 points 11 months ago

Please don't say Trump is in decline. Plenty of people thought Trump had no chance of winning in 2016. He is a serious threat and should be treated like one until at least 10 years after his death.

This guy is way too interested in other people's reproduction. It's fucking weird.

[–] ShittyBeatlesFCPres@lemmy.world 44 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Like two or three generations ago, they fired female teachers who had kids. Also, he’s Catholic. I know he’s an adult convert and so mega weird — adult converts are usually just attracted to the hierarchy and lore instead of the charity and service parts — but he should at least know about nuns teaching school.

[–] GBU_28@lemm.ee 17 points 11 months ago

Thanks, this will be fuckin up some extended family chats this weekend

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 7 points 11 months ago

My experience is that adult converts to Catholicism mostly do so because you can't be married in a Catholic church if you're not Catholic and their spouse is Catholic. Which is to say, it's disingenuous.

This guy is way too interested in other people's children.

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 32 points 11 months ago (2 children)

This guy is way too convinced that women are nothing but uteri and vaginas.

[–] moshankey@lemmy.world 15 points 11 months ago

The idea is simply that the female of the species should be considered a brood mare and nothing more. More meat for the grinder. Do these people not have wives, daughters, mothers, to give them some feedback about what they’re doing wrong? I know, brainwashed. But still.

[–] dunidane@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 11 months ago

He might not even know those are different body parts. He'd probably be scared of the word vulva.

[–] simplejack@lemmy.world 38 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Maybe JD should try having kids on a teacher’s salary.

[–] moshankey@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago

Preach On! Please.

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 29 points 11 months ago

Vance when talking about other people's genitals: filling podcasts and tv interviews

Vance when talking about anything else: "how long have you been working here? ok, good."

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 22 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago) (1 children)

He’s also a venture capital tech bro who has no clue how difficult it is to raise children in a teacher’s salary. Useless marketing interns in his industry make more money than teachers.

Many teachers don’t have kids because they simply can’t afford it.

[–] TankovayaDiviziya@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

Not to mention teaching is a thankless job.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 17 points 11 months ago (2 children)

It's cool how my love and support for education doesn't count because I don't have children.

[–] dunidane@lemmy.sdf.org 7 points 11 months ago

I think the guy can only really plan for the future by seeing his children only as extensions of himself. Someone without children can't do that mental gymnastics so why should they care?

[–] fluxion@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago

Ugha bugha....how brain know school need if you no have kid?

[–] barsquid@lemmy.world 16 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I don't want personhood and citizenship to be conditional upon having a child.

[–] HawlSera@lemm.ee 3 points 11 months ago

"Service guarantees citizenship."

[–] HawlSera@lemm.ee 12 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Vance walks the fine line between weird and creepy. But it's not the "Autistic kid who gets mistaken for quiet kid" creepy that I and others like me have.

It's "If I don't sniff your feet the world is coming to an end." Creepy

What a turd

[–] chronicledmonocle@lemmy.world 9 points 11 months ago (1 children)

People who are this weirdly repressed and creepy about sex and reproduction almost always have something very dark in their past and/or present. I will not be surprised if we find out he has coerced teenage boys and/or girls into sex or something just as fucked up.

[–] return2ozma@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago

I mean, watch your couch around him.

[–] DogPeePoo@lemm.ee 7 points 11 months ago

<Ann Coulter crab walks 🦀away stage right>

[–] BlucifersVeinyAnus@sh.itjust.works 6 points 11 months ago

At least it was just a bashing and he didn’t resort to slamming in this resurfaced video.

[–] TheEighthDoctor@lemmy.world 6 points 11 months ago (2 children)

I'm a childless right winger what now? His brain would probably explode.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Why on earth would anyone choose to describe themselves as a "right winger" (unless you play hockey)?

Are you insanely wealthy? Or do you just hate other people and like pulling the ladder up behind you?

[–] TheEighthDoctor@lemmy.world -2 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Because I believe free market capitalism works given that the government regulates the market to avoid market failures.

[–] Sconrad122@lemmy.world 6 points 11 months ago

That's not right wing. Do not allow right wingers to hide in the shadow of your reasonable political views by assuming their identity. Call yourself a market capitalist, a liberal, or even a Reagan-era Republican if you believe that is what your views align to and are speaking in an American context, but don't let yourselves be used to rehabilitate the image of the right wing. They will only take that as a permission structure to hold more and more heinous views while pointing at you and others like you and saying "see, we are reasonable people with serious political positions that deserve a voice at the table. They don't represent you, so why give them leverage to claim that they do?

He deserves to have his marriage implode, and to be hated by his children.

[–] 800XL@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

Vance's mom was so overbearing as a kid and throughout his life he has been subservient to women. He married a woman like his mom and he hates women. All the times he's willingly been emasculated by women at his request has finally come to light and now he wants revenge against mommy and he's spiraled out of control.

[–] jaggedrobotpubes@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago

Lol this guy is such a dweeb.
