They wrote it at the wrong angle and used the wrong color ink. If they had gone to my site they could have purchased an official SovCit protractor with included pen for only $130 in federal reserve notes and these debts would be history!

They would legitimately be interested..

Funnily enough, this would be a good business idea. Creating a webshop for sovcits, filled with AI bullshit copywriting, selling useless products like this

[–] darkstar@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago

Interesting idea, let's do it

Candy from a baby, I love it

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

I really wish I didn't have the personal ethics that would make me hate myself for taking advantage of the gullible if I did something like that.

"Amount enclosed -$289.41"

Congratulations, genius, now you owe $578.82.

But see when the creditor deposits the negative bill into sovcits secret account they'll have cash returned to them to satisfy the debt, it all makes perfect sense! If it doesn't work you probably did something wrong, maybe the wrong shade of red marker?

Forgot their fingerprint in blood.

UCC 3-604 says someone owed an obligation has the right to cancel the obligation owed to them, not the other way around.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago

It's not like they actually read it. They pay someone else hundreds or thousands of dollars to do that reading for them to get out of that $30 minimum payment bill.

I wonder which "stamp duty" they're talking about? Machine gun, "marihuana", or old British tea stamps?

Migratory bird hunting.

Hey, it’s Credit One, a notoriously predatory bank. Interest rates are high, fees are aplenty, and they’re not exactly kind. I’m in the credit card hobby and they’re famous for being shit (but situationally useful if you’re trying to rebuild credit). If you’re one of those and use it properly then cancel it, it’s fine. If you don’t pay it off, the balance balloons.

This person will continue to compound interest and fees until they charge off the account, sell it to some collector, and eventually one of the collector human centipede segments will sue them. Some banks will occasionally let go of debts, but a Credit One charge off will probably see this individual trying sovcit tactics in court -> judgment -> wage garnishment eventually.

I love that you think a sovcit earns a wage.

[–] fox2263@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

How much do they owe if minimum payment is $30.

Amazing how they all think they can steal essentially.

[–] figjam@midwest.social 4 points 1 year ago

Looks like $400ish but the pixels...

[–] EleventhHour@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

Abracadabra, bill begone!

[–] Gobo@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

The account number is also at the top and not redacted...

[–] don@lemm.ee 6 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Is that a blue ink thumbprint on the stamp?

[–] BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I think so!

Biometrics seem unimportant, I guess...

E: autocorrect

[–] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Look at that sloppy 52° "CANCEL".

Shame.

[–] Rhynoplaz@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

I don't know guys, I think maybe this cancel culture has gotten out of control.

[–] 01189998819991197253 -1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

We're laughing now, but they'll be laughing if these insane "workarounds" actually work hahahahahaha

[–] Rhynoplaz@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I mean, you're right, they would if they did... but they won't.

[–] 01189998819991197253 1 points 1 year ago

Right. That was joke...
