Idk, I thought the last season was the finale of the series. Would have been a decent ending - Lasso returns to the US after getting the team their promotion seems like a nice enough bow to have tied.

Yeah, there wasn't any loose ends either, as far as i remember. Seems they just don't want to let the IP unused

The finale for that team. It's not like Ted Lasso was going to retire. In his universe I'm sure he's onto the next thing.

The finale really was setting up a sequel series lead by Coach Beard and Nathan. I’m guessing they made a pilot and it didn’t score as well, which makes me sad.
