"Some glazed, some sprinkles, whatever makes sense."

How long have you worked here, employee?

How long have you worked here, other employee?

Hi, I'm JD Vance, how long have you worked here?

[–] LordAmplifier@pawb.social 17 points 1 year ago (1 children)

"Ok, good."

I'm kinda socially awkward, and this is what my dialogue skills were like five or six years ago, but someone running for vice president should maybe, idk, take a single decent public speaking class?

TLDR: L rizz

Hi, I'm JD Vance. How long have I worked here?

“I noticed a really nice couch in your reception area. Is that for… everybody?”

Does anyone have a video of this creepy interaction?

Ok, that's way worse than I thought it was going to be. "I'm JD Vance and I'm running for Vice President".... Uhhh, ok.....

Who says that shit. Seriously.

How long have you been on lemmy?

OK. Good.

Left reddit when they took away the API.

That part actually seemed relatively human. It was the follow up questions "how long have you worked here" that just seemed a bit uncanny

[–] jaschen@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It didn't sound human. It came across like, " do you know who I am" vibes or just an odd unsolicited statement.

The 2nd part about how long this place has been open sounded like he was trying to buy the place.

I would say he acted exactly like how a fish out of water would react in that initial situation, which I can forgive him for, but his recovery had him flopping towards the beach instead of the sea

"Oh yeah, you're that couch fucker guy!"
