I've got 2-bay NAS in my living room (sadly not my garage or non-existing basement). It has two-8T WD Red Plus drive. Noise is fine.

Need to beef up storage and I'm considering jumping to the WD22Ts. I know they spin at 7200 and I've heard the noise is quite the jump. I'm also potentially debating on switching to 4/6bay NAS and keeping everything under the Red Plus family.

Does anyone the db difference in terms going from an 8 to 22? Is the noise going to be really obnoxious?
