Unfortunately I’ve no idea who they are, but good on them for keeping it closed.
I just hope that Reddit doesn’t force all the existing mods out like they seem to be doing.

Better not piss off the furries. I enjoy imagining us playing an important role in the downfall of reddit :P
From what I remember about the r/furry mods, they were extremely strict. They kept r/furry so sanitized it felt like a boy in a bubble scenario. (￢_￢;)
Which I understood to a degree since they wanted to keep the environment clean for all ages. But they usually took it to far, many cases where people got banned for no reason. (￣︿￣)
If the proverbial stick has been removed (if they have been removed as mods) I would say invite them. But if not, then invite them to pawb.social. ┐(￣～￣)┌
I was there for 10 years, and either I'm more like than mods than you, or I just didn't see the same things you saw, cuz I wouldn't say they were overly strict. Yeah, the place was very SFW, almost to a fault in some ways, but it gave an option to people who didn't want casual NSFW stuff. The only banning I can remember was a teenager posting weird fetish art and trying to pass it off as cute SFW stuff.
Either way, I'd be very excited if a bunch of people from the subreddit moved over here, losing that community (and the fursuit subreddit) is the only reason I'm sad reddit is kinda dying.
