Girlfriend will drive to me directly after work on Saturday. Which means she will go to bed as soon as she arrives. I want to cook something nice for her while she sleeps. Just don’t know what to make. Have to find something that fits the warm weather.

Sunday she will prepare some snacks and a couple of friends will come over. We’re gonna play some commander. Really looking forward to finally see Ms. Bumbleflower in action.

Something light-ish and citrus like a grilled chicken piccata or something not hot at all like sushi or a poke bowl?

Edit: Who downvotes this? Someone must not like capers...

I think you just gave me the perfect idea. Thanks!

The owl-master even has great meal ideas!

I try to be a well-rounded individu-owl!

Owl meals don't require so much in the way of preparation, so I have time to learn human ones.

Crêpes. Women love sweet and savory crêpes.

Planning the fall garden. Yoga, grocery shopping, sleeping until 8am, afternoon cocktails. Hopefully not much more than that.

School started this week, with all the prep work that involves when three of my kids are school aged.
Other than that, work. Still working on setting up this server cluster. Today I got the remaining disks raided and partitioned. Tomorrow I'll be setting up beegfs.

An end of summer weekend getaway to a lake resort with the wife and kid. We’re planning to rent a speedboat and go hog wild.

Haven’t considered it yet. My partner and I only share one day off together and I try to be onboard with whatever she wants to do that day. For the previous weekend, that meant going to a beech in Pacifica to watch for whales. We got to see two, despite overcast weather. It was pretty rad. She had thought maybe we don’t go because of the weather and I was the booster saying we should try because the opportunity is here. It made her pretty happy and that earns me goodwill when I’m too lazy to shower on my next day off when she works.

It's cleaning day! I try to make day one of my (Monday-Tuesday) weekend the day I ball hard on laundry and yardwork, then in the afternoon I pick one room and deep clean it and in the evenings I clean out the fridge. Then on the second day I do paperwork and make the kind of phone calls where they put you on hold while playing videogames.

Long brainstorming sessions on how to implement my next Lemmy bot.
