I have 3 portable hdds. They are:

  1. Western Digital wd10jpvx-1tb
  2. Seagate Backup Plus Slim Portable Drive - 2TB
  3. Backup Plus Ultra Slim - 2TB

The data(files) between the three drives is pretty chaotic, unmanaged, some even redundant. The stuff is mostly personal stuff with some work-related files mixed in. My project is to clean it all up into a more manageable situation. my aim is to get all files(across the three) archived into HDD 1, use HDD 2 as a backup-copy of HDD 1, and use HDD 3 as my portable HDD.

I can probably brute force this and connect all 3 to my pc and do it the old way, but I'm curious if there is a better way to do this efficiently? The problem I'm facing is if there is a way to put them all into some device like a NAS, but cheaper, so I can work on cleaning it up regularly rather than in one go. The option I got online was to invest into a NAS, but I don't think I can access my portable hdds through the NAS (or I couldn't find how to).

Is there a way I can manage all this efficiently?

FWIW, I can take apart the WD to expose the SATA port, but I cannot do it to the Seagates. I'm pretty new to this so any help is appreciated.
