That guy is pretty sensitive to everyone and everything, getting paranoid to the point of thinking everyone is out to get him. Some of them are out to get him after all – in any case, I wish him the best and that his mental health and well-being gets better :)

yeah, I was banned for asking questions in the support Matrix channel because they were all super on edge. Hope this gets better and people finally calm down. It's not a good thing to get gray hair about FOSS.
Daniel stepping down is a huge move both for him personally and for the community as a whole. I hope he can finally have peace with the project and not be anxious about swatting and the like.

Just because some people are out to get you, not everyone is. Obviously his paranoia is understandable.
I mean, from his perspective, how the fuck is he supposed to tell? It's not like psychopaths have the courtesy of tattooing "I'm really excited to try to kill you" across their forehead

I'm confused as to the purpose of your question. Are you asserting he deserved to be swatted? Otherwise, why else does it matter what events lead to said swatting?
No, I was just asking whether you're familiar with him or ever interacted with him. Why would you think I would assert he would deserve to be swatted?
Most people don't deserve to be swatted, including Daniel Micay. However, it's not exactly surprising this happened based on the tone in the GrapheneOS community.

Dang, I definitely misread your first question then - I thought you were trying to argue that he was being unreasonable, but I can't imagine any scenario in which I'd want anything to do with something that got me swatted; I like to think I'm big and bad but I don't think anyone wouldn't be scared shitless and at Defcon 1 24/7 after that.
