Hi,

I just lost everything to a house fire. I lost my 32TB rig that was basically a file server. Was going to set up VPN and some solution to get lossless audio streaming to my phone once I was ready to pay for a good data plan on my mobile...

I was able to get an 8TB backup of my "Other Media" containing music, software, porn, and some other stuff. I realized that I was so grateful for this... I didn't really and don't really care about my movies and shows. I can get those again easy. My music collection it turns out, is my most precious to me.

My music archive is around 1.2 TB and will probably grow to 4TB over the next 3 years. I will then refine it and reduce it unless storage capacities just get insane soon.

I want simplicity now, not complicated infrastructure and solutions. What should I do to get the following

  1. Be able to backup my 2-5 TB of music so that if every physical item I own is destroyed, I can still access it.

a. I'm not ready to mirror. I don't want extreme. Cloud storage would be fine with me.

  1. Be able to access the media remotely.
  2. This one might be a stretch, but if I go cloud, which is what it sounds like I should do, are there are cloud storage solutions that will enable me to play .wav, .flac, .mp3, and other file types on my phone's apps?

a. I presume the web browser and web app of the storage service won't let me play .flac files much like google drive doesn't.

b. Any 5TB cloud storage options that let you stream from? Any android apps that can peruse and play files from a 5TB cloud storage solution?

Any suggestions to help me secure and grow my music archive again would be lovely and I love you all in advance for the advice.
