So I was wondering should i keep a diy nas made for watching shows and movies in the laundry room? which is like two floors down from my bedroom. ? Cause if its going to be own all the time, i don't want to too much heat coming in to my room. Im not sure what can I i do sent videos i ripped down there. Would I need to run an ethernet cable or are there other options? Also would it be wrong of using a paid nas os? I have used freenas before and it was kind of time consuming when I jsut want something simple to store videos and maybe important files.
