I have some basic knowledge but am curious to learn more about deciding when it’s time to replace drives. 1/ What are the most important parameters you consider in assessing general drive health and 2/ which software, outside of windows diagnostics, would you recommend, if any? My setup is a windows workstation with 4 Seagate 5 TB portable drives, each filled around 80%. Off-site backups of the same type. Not planning to move to a NAS-environment. Thanks!
