Apologize for the request but I’m lost despite reading all the threads. I have a four bay NAS and want to add 2 drives. This is already quite a budget…. like 2x12TB means $400. I have already 2x8TB. Then should I backup all of this to say 20 TB therefore do I need to buy additional drives (I assume 2x10 TB) using a DAS but which software should I use to mount as a raid ? I’m quite lost on backup technology and cost. Thanks.
